When one is away from home, the best way to recover from a bout of homesickness is to call up home. But this would be a feasible option only when the call rates are affordable and the lines of communication are good because the whole exercise of calling up home would be pointless if the bill rockets beyond the roof and the one is not able to convey one’s feelings.

Calling home would be cheaper if prepaid phone cards are used and this can be proved by visiting a comparison site related to calling cards. A glance through the comparison sites would reveal the following information in favor of the calling cards as compared to other methods of communication:

  • Having logged on to a comparison site, one can go through the rates offered by the various services and come to the conclusion that the rates offered by a prepaid calling card service are the lowest.
  • The comparison site can also be used to compare the rates of different calling cards and accordingly select the best possible option in terms of quality and affordability.
  • Prepaid cards work out to be cheaper if the number of calls and the length of each call can be determined by the caller so that while making comparisons, the correct judgment can be made as per the cost of each call.

However, there is one precaution which one must take before relying on a comparison site and that is to check its authenticity as it may be a sales gimmick on the part of the company as well.
